We are so happy you are here. The decision to seek therapy is often the first major step towards discovering a more fulfilled, healed, empowered, happier you! Whether you are interested in exploring more about how your past might continue to impact your current mood or relationships, relieving your depression, anxiety, stress levels, or you want to heal your inner child, the aim of the Chaise Lounge is to help you gain self-compassion and realize your worth! You are valuable, special, loveable, and your feelings are important. The Chaise Lounge is often described as a very relaxing environment (there is also a small comfy loveseat if you prefer to sit up), soft lighting, and the noise machine is set to ocean wave sounds. Through a gentle, empathic, nonjudgmental, compassionate approach, clients are able to process deep feelings in a safe space and find healing within themselves. Clients who would prefer to only deal with current issues are never pushed further than they are ready to explore, yet often report feeling very relaxed due to the calming environment of the therapy room.
The Chaise Lounge is currently open and accepting new clients, both via teletherapy and in person for fully vaccinated individuals. Teletherapy sessions are done via zoom.
Feel free to browse the page or contact us to make an appointment. If you are currently experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.
Ellie Trotta is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with seven years of experience helping clients with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, OCD, self-esteem issues, addictions, trauma, geriatric issues, career challenges, and chronic mental illness. She also has experience helping clients with trauma due to physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, as well as individuals who "feel stuck" due to emotional turmoil or relationship issues resulting from childhood abuse or abandonment.
Ellie views the therapist-client relationship as something that is highly sacred and treats her clients with respect, sensitivity, and unconditional positive regard. She believes validation and empathy are necessary parts of the therapeutic process and treats clients with a warm and compassionate approach. Her therapeutic approach also includes DBT, CBT, ACT, experiential, client-centered psychodynamic, mindfulness, narrative, inner child work, solution-focused, and humanistic techniques, specifically tailored to the needs of the client. She also helps empower clients to be experts of their own lives; the therapist is the tour guide but this is your therapeutic journey and Ellie will be respectful of working at a pace that is comfortable for you.
It takes courage to take these first steps in your therapeutic journey. Congratulations on your decision to prioritize yourself in order to obtain a happier and more fulfilled life.

"You are valuable because you exist. Not because of what you do or what you have done, but simply because you are."
- Max Lucado
“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
- Mr. Fred Rogers
